DPG Spring Meetings

In 2023, three DPG Spring Conferences have taken place again with exhibitions of scientific instruments and literature. This type of conference has been very successful for many years and attracts a large number of physicists. Year after year, the conferences on Condensed Matter are the largest scientific physics conference event held in Europe. In 2023, about 10,000 participants took part in the overall four DPG conferences. At the same time, the number of companies interested in the exhibitions is increasing year by year.

We would like to continue the tradition of holding the DPG Spring Conferences at universities. The DPG Spring Conferences, and thus parallel to these the industrial and literature exhibitions, are visited by thousands of physicists, from physics students through post docs to professors and even world famous Nobel Prize winners. Unlike at trade fairs, which visitors have to be "tempted" to visit in the first place at no little cost to exhibitors, your customers are already present when the exhibition begins! Use this opportunity to make lots of interesting contacts and refresh old ones in a pleasant conference atmosphere.

On the other hand, we are of course aware that the spatial and logistic pre-conditions for exhibitions are not always perfect at universities. We will do our best to fulfil as many wishes as possible. The available space is often not sufficiently large to satisfy all those interested in taking part, and cannot be compared with events in exhibition halls or congress centres. But an exhibition at a DPG Spring Conference offers many advantages you will not find elsewhere. We feel that the advantages of holding exhibitions at universities more than outweigh the disadvantages, and ask for your understanding in this special situation.
